Founding of Louis Program Training Centre
The LP Training Centre is a non-profit making charity founded in January of 2002 by a group of caring Christians for families with autistic / mentally impaired children, offering whole person care for them.
Belief & Mission
We care about not only the growth of ' autistic ' children, but also the well-being of their parents and families' body, mind and soul.
With the spirit of self-help and helping others, the general awareness of autism in the society is raised and charity groups have been arranged to contact and care about families which are in a sad plight.
There is a comprehensive and effective home training program offered by ' Louis Program ' Training Centre. It is deeply believed that, irrespective of the family means and children's ability, as long as parents are fully trained and equipped so as to enhance their ability in bringing up their children, it will facilitate the continuous improvement and growth of the children, thus they can surely assimilate into the community. Consequently it will relieve the society's pressure, which is to be of benefit to the community.

“An autistic child at home leading to the formation of an autistic family”exists in real life situation, and is a fact which could hardly be experienced by the general public . I have known SK and Yolanda for over 30 years and have seen how they once struggled and evaded others, they did not want to be in touch with others and just dedicated all their time to their child's learning. I seemed to be able to feel their pain in person. Besides praying for them in silence, I also asked God to give me an opportunity to support their ministry. Thanks to the Lord for allowing me to serve those families in need in April 1999 together with SK during the ' Louis Program ' Oasis Camp organized at YMCA Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village. Because of the Lord's guidance, together we set up ' Louis Program ' Training Centre in 2002.
Unwittingly the Centre has been established for 5 years. God has let us experienced His existence by our side, He has made use of Louis Program's team to contact families with different needs. We have also witnessed the healing of many sad parents, the reunion of broken families, the rebound of single-parent families, the reduction in behavior like scolding and beating of children. This is not only because of the ' Louis Program ' offered by the Centre, but more importantly, it is due to the fact that we are flushing with Christ's love. He continuously calls coworkers and volunteers to help achieve this ministry. Though many volunteers are professionals, they are willing to serve humbly hiding behind the cross by acting as Sunday Schoo1 teachers, carers and practical tutors etc. Truly all things work together for good to them that love God.
May the Lord continue to make use of this team to act as His salt and His light. Amen!
Core Work
- Parent Services: Promote self-help homeschooling courses to equip parents with autistic or disabled children teach their children. Provide support and walk along with parents.
- Children’s Services: Provide a wide range of services for children with autism or learning disabilities to achieve whole-person development.
- Holistic Care: To pass on the vision and set up the “Precious Child, Return Home” project, we collaborate with partner-churches to take care the family of autistic or school children with disabilities. Help them to establish Christian families.
- Education and Promotion: Promote the education of inclusiveness and mutual love in the community and understanding the needs of families with autism or learning disabilities.
